Lake Havasu Shooting Results in Arrest for Second Degree Murder

The Lake Havasu City Police Department responded to a shooting incident at a residence on the 2500 block of McCulloch Boulevard North on May 17, 2023, at around 9:15 a.m. Upon their arrival, officers discovered an unresponsive young man, identified as 19-year-old Arnell L. Bell, a resident of Lake Havasu City. Despite attempts to administer life-saving measures, Bell, who had injuries consistent with gunshot wounds, passed away at the scene.

The department’s Criminal Investigations Unit detectives launched an investigation into the incident. The inquiry led to the arrest of Angel Fernando Caldera, a 22-year-old also from Lake Havasu City. Caldera was charged with Second Degree Murder. During his first court appearance, a $1,000,000.00 bond was set, and he was subsequently handed over to the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office.

Bell’s family has since been informed.
