I know this is a laid back & relaxed City, but we have thieves & drug addicts just like every other City. Locking car doors can prevent this, one thing about so many neighbors looking out for others, a locked car is too difficult & time consuming with a high chance of getting caught, an unlocked door is easy pickins. For heaven’s sake, lock your doors.

My car was broken into in the middle of the day at Kmart it was locked they did leave marks on my doors . and windows from them using a tool to get in. Yes locking your doors makes it harder but not impossible

If everyone notices the area of the theft is in a gated secure community with half a million dollar or more homes.

Don’t leave valuables in sight in your cars, locked or not. Always amazed when I hear this. Take your cash, credit cards, jewelry, etc. and put it somewhere SAFE.
