SHARE: Life Jacket Exchange this Saturday

The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Division of Boating Safety along with Arizona Game and Fish Department will be hosting a life jacket exchange on Saturday, July 8th, 2017.  This event will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. or until all the new life jackets have been exchanged.   The location will be in the main parking area at the Site 6 launch ramp, 591 Beachcomber Boulevard, in Lake Havasu City.

This is an opportunity to bring your worn, torn, tattered, or wrong sized life jacket and exchange it for a brand new one!  The exchange life jackets are first come, first serve, so show up early as they will go fast!  Unfortunately we will not be accepting any of the orange Type II style life jackets for exchange.

Life jackets save lives and are a legally required item (safeguard) on a boat.  We look forward to your participation in this great event!

Approximately 250 exhausted old life jackets were collected during the life jacket exchange program in May in Lake Havasu City.

Maybe someone can answer my question. If Arizona’s life jacket law is, children under 12 must wear a life jacket while on a boat, but California’s, and Nevada law is, children under 13 must wear a life jacket while on a boat. Which one of the three states law is enforced on the water?
