The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Division of Boating Safety in partnership with Arizona Game and Fish conducted a life jacket exchange at the Site Six Marina on the Island in Lake Havasu City on Saturday (7/8).  Within 10 minutes, 175 life jackets had been exchanged for old, worn, or tattered life jackets.   People were excited as they showed up early and were standing in line prior to the event even getting underway!  During the event, volunteers from the MCSO Boating Safety Officer Program, Anglers United and the Sea Scouts wore their life jackets to show their ease and comfort.  Life jackets save lives!

Pictured wearing their life jackets are volunteers from the MCSO Boating Safety Officer Program, MCSO Deputies, Lake Havasu Police Officers, Arizona Game and Fish Officers, Anglers United and the Sea Scouts where approximately 175 exhausted old life jackets were collected during the life jacket exchange program at the Site Six Marina on Saturday (7/8).
