PRESS RELEASE – – Police Need Assistance in Locating Robbery Suspects

On Monday, May 18, 2015, at approximately 12:04 a.m., Lake Havasu City police officers responded to a report of an armed robbery that had occurred at the Quality Inn at 271 South Lake Havasu Avenue after a male walked up to the front desk brandishing a handgun and demanded money from the clerk. The suspect left the lobby and was observed getting into a black 4-door sedan. Detectives from the Criminal Investigations Bureau were called-out to investigate the crime. The suspect is described as a middle aged, heavy set male with dark complexion and approximately 5’09” tall. The male was last seen wearing an oversized black hooded sweatshirt and a dark colored hat. The make and model of the vehicle is unknown at this time.

On Friday, May 15, 2015, at approximately 2:37 p.m., Lake Havasu City police officers responded to a robbery at Payless Shoes at 1212 North McCulloch Boulevard after a male approached the cashier and demanded money from the store employee. The suspect left the store and was observed getting into a dark colored truck with an unknown California license plate. The male suspect was described as approximately 30 years old, thin build, dark complexion, and approximately 5’08” tall. The male was described as having a large nose, no facial hair, and “bumps” near the right side of his mouth that resembled acne or a skin irregularity. The male was last seen wearing an oversized black hooded sweatshirt with a hood that covered his head and black oversized pants. The make and model of the truck is unknown at this time.
