The suspect wanted in connection with the Lake Havasu City Wells Fargo Bank robbery, being called the “Bombshell Bandit” – is in custody this evening after a three-state wide chase.
Her latest robbery came just before 5 PM last Thursday when the suspect walked into a U.S. Bank in the 700 block of Bluff Street in St. George Utah, handed the bank teller a note, collected money then took off Southbound on Interstate 15. Witnesses inside the bank were able to give officers information identifying the suspect’s car and the suspect, leading them on a pursuit that was eventually joined by Arizona State Troopers and then Mesquite Police Department in Northern Nevada.
While Special Agent William Facer of the Salt Lake City’s FBI office has yet to release the identity of the person – we’re told the 20 to 25 year old suspect was taken into custody after she refused to exit her vehicle and the Las Vegas Police Department’s SWAT Team and Crisis Management Personnel were called to the scene.
In between the July 8th robbery here in Lake Havasu City – this suspect is accused of having also committing the June 6th robbery in Valencia California, and the July 14th robbery of Comerica Bank on Rosecrans Street in San Diego California.
The crime is still under investigation by FBI officials.
