Vehicle accident Southbound at mile marker 198 on the highway with one entrapment.  Assistance requested by Desert Hills Fire Department.

Lake Havasu’s Rescue 42, an engine, and a Battalion Chief are en route.

NIXLE ALERT – All Lanes Closed.

Battalion Chief has returned to city limits and has turned the scene over to Desert Hills Fire. Remaining balance of LHC Fire Apparatuses will be returning shortly.

The Battalion Chief has returned our call at 2:07 PM and was able to provide the following information: “The accident involved two vehicles, one of which was on it’s side with the patient trapped. One patient was transported to the hospital via helicopter. There were 4 patients that refused medical treatment. DPS is on scene providing traffic control, and lanes should be opened soon.
