Mohave County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue Units were deployed Thursday (9/11) evening due to a missing bicyclist in the desert. The reporting party said that her boyfriend Justin Harding, 35, of Lake Havasu City, went mountain biking and he has failed to return home. Approximately 9:10 p.m., Search and Rescue Units responded to the Sara Park area. Units confirmed that Harding’s vehicle was parked at that location. Investigations revealed that Harding in an experienced rider in this area. Harding often rides through the mountain trail also known as SARA’s Crack which leads to the lake. Fourteen SAR volunteers initiated a search of the area. Early Friday (9/12) morning, at about 12:16 a.m., SAR was contacted by Harding’s girlfriend and she advised that he returned home. Deputies contacted Harding at his residence. Harding advised that he had become lost while he was riding and he started heading for the lights of town. Harding was in good health, but tired.
