Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies responded to an accident in the area of Chenoweth Drive and Westminster Road early Sunday (7/26) evening. At about 7:18 p.m., deputies responded to the scene of where a male subject was injured from jumping from the bed of a truck. Upon arrival, deputies observed Desert Hills Fire Department personnel treating a male subject lying on the ground. The victim identified as Ryan Fitzpatrick, 32, of Carlsbad, CA, was airlifted to Sunrise Medical Center in Las Vegas Nevada by Care flight. Apparently, Fitzpatrick jumped from the truck as the vehicle was traveling about 10 to 15 miles per hour and the vehicle was preparing to make a turn. The Ford truck was pulling a boat and trailer. Investigations determined when Fitzpatrick jumped out of the bed of the truck he was ran over by the boats trailer. Deputies contacted the female driver. The driver did not have any signs of impairment. This accident remains under investigation.
