Level 2 Sex Offender Community Notification

The Lake Havasu City Police Department is releasing information pursuant to Arizona Revised Statute 13-3825 (Sex Offender Notification Law) in reference to a level 2 Sex Offender now living in Lake Havasu City.

Gregory Hemperly resides at 3715 Clearwater Drive in Lake Havasu City. Hemperly is a 44-year-old white male, 6 feet 1 inch tall, weighs 195 pounds with blonde hair and blue eyes.  In 2002, Gregory Hemperly was convicted of injury to a child after leaving his girlfriend’s 1-year-old infant unattended in a car for 50 minutes in 10 degree weather. In 2002, he was convicted of sexual battery to a minor after grabbing the buttocks of a 16-year-old female he had been stalking.  Hemperly served 13 years in Idaho State Prison and was released in February 2015. Hemperly is a Level 2 Sex Offender and is required to register for life.  Information on Hemperly as well as other sex offenders is available at www.lhcazsexoffenders.com and www.offenderwatch.com.

This subject is not wanted by law enforcement at this time. Any use of this information to threaten, intimidate, harass, or create a criminal act against another person will result in criminal prosecution.

This notification is not intended to increase fear; rather it is believed that an informed community is a safer community. There are currently 73 registered sex offenders living within the city limits of Lake Havasu. Of those 73 offenders, 33 are levels two or three and notifiable to the community.
